Hybrid cloud management platform provider Abiquo today announced a
partnership with CloudSigma, a public cloud IaaS provider with advanced
hybrid hosting solutions, to add CloudSigma services to its multi-cloud
management platform, Abiquo anyCloud. With anyCloud, public cloud users
can now manage their CloudSigma deployments, as well as other next
generation cloud platforms, all from one portal.
CloudSigma offers highly-available, flexible, enterprise-class cloud
servers and cloud hosting solutions in Europe and the U.S. By offering
its 1,000+ customers full control over their cloud deployment and
unbundled resource provisioning, CloudSigma is well-suited to meet the
complex compute requirements of companies in the financial services,
media and research science industries.
The Abiquo and CloudSigma partnership allows anyCloud users to create
and manage CloudSigma services as part of their hybrid cloud, while
obtaining a full audit trail of activities across all of their public
cloud accounts. Additionally, enhanced compliance measures are available
to users in the form of workflow approvals, where primary account users
will receive an email to approve or reject any new VM creation or
deletion performed by a team member.
“We’ve always promoted greater flexibility and accessibility in the
cloud, so are pleased with the cross-cloud functionality this
integration provides our users and other cloud customers looking to use
CloudSigma,” said Robert Jenkins, CEO, CloudSigma. “The technology
behind the Abiquo anyCloud and CloudSigma integration allows for an
interoperable solution that will be especially useful for our global
customers tasked with managing numerous cloud environments, in the
safest way possible.”
Multi-layered security is another key feature that Abiquo anyCloud
provides CloudSigma users. Through the creation of member accounts,
users are able to add team members by inviting their wider team to share
their Abiquo anyCloud account. The same cloud provider accounts can then
be used without the team members having visibility of the provider
security credentials.
“CloudSigma is known for being one of the most user-centric providers on
the market, especially for companies in need of high-performing compute
at a low cost,” said Gilles Samoun, CEO, Abiquo. “Yet, many companies
are still locked into another provider. With CloudSigma now part of the
anyCloud platform, companies can leverage CloudSigma alongside their
other deployments, all from one place. And, with flexibility at
CloudSigma’s core, we expect this integration to generate a lot of
traction for anyCloud, while furthering cloud adoption overall.”
