QualiSystems announces the release of its CloudShell and TestShell 6.0 software.  The enhanced version has been updated with several new features to enable IT organizations to deliver dynamic, transient DevOps sandboxes via infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS) clouds, and support high-throughput continuous integration processes. New features include an updated self-service catalog that supports adaptive, parameter-driven environment provisioning; interactive DevOps environment design and customization; and infrastructure-aware continuous integration design, scheduling and queuing.

CloudShell 6.0's flexibility helps IT teams meet a broad spectrum of user requests without needing to construct and maintain a mushrooming catalog of statically-scripted environments. CloudShell's new self-service catalog allows IT departments to offer automated environments that dynamically adapt to user requirements. Users can further control their sandbox environments and perform live customizations by dragging and dropping new resources onto an interactive canvas. Connections between resources are simply set by drawing graphical connections that drive automated provisioning.  "Power users" can even build their own sandbox environments from scratch. 

TestShell 6.0 offers powerful new integration of test and continuous integration automation with CloudShell sandbox environments.  Automation designers can reference CloudShell environments by name in their workflows to them to perform faster development and debugging against live resources. Engineers can then create suites of automation jobs in which the different workflows are paired with their reference environments.  When a suite is queued for execution, it automatically searches for the first available timeslot when all the resources in each CloudShell environment are available, then schedules both the CloudShell environment and the associated workflows for that timeframe. This tight coordination of automation and infrastructure makes it possible to achieve high throughput continuous integration cycles based on real-world, complex infrastructure scenarios.
