Mushroom Networks Unveils Truffle V, a WAN Orchestrator on VMware
Mushroom Networks, Inc., innovators of Broadband Bonding technology, today announced a new, virtual version of its flagship WAN Orchestrator that runs on a VMware hypervisor. Installation is quick and easy, and enables faster, more reliable connectivity between branch offices and data centers, thereby improving the performance of Internet applications and cloud services.

Truffle V can be installed or migrated to a virtual machine within minutes without being tied to physical hardware. Similar to the other Truffle appliances Mushroom Networks offers, Truffle V leverages virtual leased lines (VLLs) and Broadband Bonding to enable branch office WAN aggregation. In addition, Truffle V is equipped with a stateful firewall, a bandwidth manager, and advanced features including session keep-alive with Internet failover, traffic monitoring, traffic shaping and Quality of Service —all in a single box or virtual machine that optimizes WAN connectivity for branch offices.

Designed for both enterprises, ISPs and data center operators, Truffle V is ideal for healthcare and other industries that are bound by strict compliance requirements. Because WAN connectivity can be improved without adding more hardware, which typically requires rigorous and time-consuming vetting to ensure compliance, companies can use Truffle V and virtualization to more quickly support Broadband Bonding for enterprise branches.

"Truffle V runs on a VMware virtual server, and provides a virtualized WAN orchestrator that can peer with the branch office Broadband Bonding appliances so that the performance and high availability needs of any application at the branches can be met," said Cahit Akin, co-founder and CEO of Mushroom Networks. "Whether it is a mobile application that's handling sensitive healthcare data, a cloud service that's supporting file sharing or a state-of-the-art video conferencing application, it can take advantage of the aggregated speed and reliability of all wireless and wired WAN resources available at the branch."

Truffle V is now available directly from Mushroom Networks and through select channels. For more information visit
