SolarWinds Honored for Business and Product Excellence by Forbes, Redmond Magazine and More

SolarWinds, a leading provider of powerful and affordable IT performance management software, today announced that it has received recognition for consistent growth and business performance from Forbes and Deloitte. Additionally, SolarWinds' products across network, server and application, virtualization, and security management received top honors from the IT Pro community and leading industry organizations.

Forbes ranked SolarWinds No. 11 on its 36th annual list of America's Best Small Companies. This list highlights public companies with sales under $1 billion that have displayed strong, consistent growth over the last 12 months, as well as the past five years. SolarWinds has been featured on this list for the past four years and was named the No. 1 Small Company in America in 2012.

Deloitte listed SolarWinds at No. 405 in its 2014 Technology Fast 500TM, marking the company's eighth consecutive year on the complete ranking of the fastest-growing technology, telecommunications, media, life sciences and clean technology companies -- both public and private -- in North America.

For the second year in a row, Geek Speak, a blog featured on SolarWinds' thwack® online community, was included in BizTech magazine's 50 Must-Read IT Blogs 2014. This list features blogs both submitted by readers and selected by the BizTech magazine editorial team to highlight the best and brightest IT blogs in the business.

The 2014 Redmond Magazine Third-Party Reader's Choice Awards honors third-party software, hardware and services that are most favored for working with and in support of Microsoft's flagship offerings. SolarWinds was honored with awards in the following categories:

TechTarget SearchSecurity's 2014 Information Security Readers' Choice Awards featured SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager (NCM) as a winner in the Risk and Policy Management Product category. For this award program, readers rated the security tools in use in their environments, giving SolarWinds NCM high marks for data archiving, ease of installation, configuring and administration, granularity and flexibility in defining policies, as well as return on investment.

Government Security News' 2014 Homeland Security Awards featured SolarWinds in three categories. SolarWinds was a winner for Best Continuous Monitoring Solution for SolarWinds User Device Tracker, which provides automated device tracking and switch port management for continuous monitoring of all devices connecting to a network. Additionally, SolarWinds received finalist distinctions for both Best Security Incident & Event Management (SIEM) Solution for SolarWinds Log & Event Manager and Best Compliance/Vulnerability Assessment Solution for SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager.

Finally, in the 2014 Storage, Virtualization, Cloud Awards, SolarWinds Virtualization Manager was named runner-up for Virtualization Management Product of the Year.
