Lenovo today announced a strategic alliance with Zenoss, a
leader in unified monitoring and analytics, to help enterprises and
service providers improve IT service reliability, responsiveness and
operational efficiency. With this agreement, Lenovo and Zenoss will
extend the Zenoss Resource platform by adding the ZenPack plug-in to
Lenovo’s lineup of x86 servers.
The Zenoss Resource Manager provides enterprises and service providers
with increased visibility into x86 server environments in virtualized,
converged and cloud infrastructures. The Zenoss Resource Manager
automatically discovers and models all resources in the environment
providing asset-service relationship context in real time. This software
tool establishes a services-oriented view into the infrastructure, and
helps to easily isolate and resolve problems even in rapidly changing
environments.
Together, the Zenoss Resource platform and the Lenovo x86 ZenPak plug-in
will enable advanced performance management and availability monitoring,
event management, notification, and escalations in a single, intuitive,
web-based interface. The combined solution will help clients move beyond
component-level monitoring to unified, real-time service assurance in
demanding datacenter environments powered by Lenovo.
“With this alliance, Lenovo and Zenoss are proactively addressing
customer requirements for unified monitoring and event management of
cloud-based applications running on virtual and physical
infrastructures,” said Kelly Beavers, vice president, Enterprise
Business Group, Lenovo.
“Zenoss is excited to team with Lenovo to simplify the management of
large scale data center virtual and cloud environments by delivering a
unified, real-time, and scalable service assurance solution that
enhances the visibility into complex infrastructures,” said Greg Stock,
president and chief executive officer, Zenoss.
