SimpliVity,
a leader in hyperconverged infrastructure for the software-defined data
center, has been named the top startup in the 2014 Tech Trailblazers
Awards in the Cloud category. The awards program recognizes
privately-held organizations around the world that are developing
innovative solutions. This distinction is in recognition of SimpliVity’s
hyperconverged infrastructure technology that helps businesses
dramatically simplify their IT infrastructure and reduce total operating
costs by 3x. SimpliVity uniquely combines all IT infrastructure below
the hypervisor, including storage, compute, networking, data protection,
plus numerous independent efficiency products, and enables global
unified management.
This recognition comes on the heels of SimpliVity’s tremendous market
acceleration in 2014.
In the last year, SimpliVity experienced record-breaking sales growth of
nearly 500 percent and significantly increased its employee base and
partner relationships—including further expansion into EMEA and APJ.
“Being named a Tech Trailblazer in the cloud category underscores our
market-leading technology and the strength of our customer and partner
relationships,” said Doron Kempel, CEO at SimpliVity. “The need for a
simplified and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solution is greater
now more than ever as organizations’ virtualization and cloud
initiatives are being hampered by legacy IT infrastructure that burdens
IT staff and resources. SimpliVity solves this problem by delivering a
true hyperconverged infrastructure solution that dramatically simplifies
IT and improves operational efficiency.”
At the root of today’s infrastructure complexity problem is an
antiquated data architecture that is not suited for today’s virtualized
and cloud-integrated applications. SimpliVity OmniStack software-defined
infrastructure packaged on industry-standard x86 systems combines 8-12
core data center functions in its globally federated and hyperconverged
infrastructure solution to provide the best of both worlds: cloud
economics with enterprise performance, protection and functionality.
The Tech Trailblazer finalists were selected through an initial judging
round determined by a diverse panel of technology industry experts. The
winners were then decided by the voting tech public and revisited by the
judging panel.
Rose Ross, Chief Trailblazer said, “On behalf of the team and esteemed
international judging panel, I congratulate all the winners of the Tech
Trailblazers Awards. We were greatly impressed by the ingenuity and
innovation shown in the entries. Winners of this year’s Tech
Trailblazers Awards are some of the most exciting enterprise tech
startups making an impact in the business world today. I’m sure we will
be hearing more about the successes from these inspiring startups in the
future. We wish them the very best of tech trailblazing luck in 2015.”
