VT Technology Announces Release of Management Utilities for Hyper-V Version 3.2

VT Technology, a developer of popular management tools for Microsoft Hyper-V, today announced the availability of VT Technology Management Utilities for Hyper-V version 3.2. vtUtilities are designed as a cost effective management and diagnostic toolkit for Microsoft Hyper-V on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012 / 2012 R2 Core installations as well as on the free Hyper-V Server. New version of vtUtilities adds functionality to simplify Hyper-V management on environments utilizing Microsoft Failover Clustering for high availability.

Key Features:

  • Local GUI to Manage Hyper-V on Server Core and Free Hyper-V Server — Manage virtual machines, virtual hard disks and networks without remote management via the Microsoft Hyper-V Manager or Virtual Machine Manager Server. vtUtilities offer a simple and easy to use GUI that is familiar to most Windows users. In addition, vtUtilities further simplify the administration tasks on Windows Server core installations and free Hyper-V Server by providing a user interface for file system views and operations.
  • Hyper-V Clustering is supported on Windows and Hyper-V Servers 2008 R2, 2012 and 2012 R2 and includes visualization of cluster summary information and events, cluster nodes management, virtual machines cluster role configuration, management and migration as well as Hyper-V Replica Broker configuration and management.
  • Manage Hyper-V on Windows Server 2012 / 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2008 from a Single Environment — vtUtilities support management of Hyper-V on hosts running Windows Server 2012 / 2012 R2, as well as Windows Server 2008 R2. vtUtilities provide full support of new features introduced in Windows Server 2012 R2 for hosts running the new version of Hyper-V, including:
    • Generation 2 virtual machines.
    • Virtual hard disk and storage quality of service enhancements.
    • Hyper-V Replica enhancements including support for extended replication.
    • Hyper-V virtual networking enhancements.

vtUtilities are certified for Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 as well as listed in Windows Server Catalog.
