At Mobile World Congress in Barcelona,
Vantrix,
a global provider of media optimization and delivery solutions to video
service providers and mobile service operators, will demonstrate its
mobile network traffic and user experience management solution in the HP
booth. As a Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) deployment, data
center resources can be dynamically allocated for bandwidth optimization
to surgically address specific isolated network performance or user
experience issues. Vantrix will demonstrate its solution in HP's booth
located in Hall 3 Stand 3A20.
Vantrix will demonstrate ultra-high-density performance media
processing and bandwidth optimization solutions, utilizing the HP
OpenNFV reference architecture. This enables mobile operators and
communication service providers to offer innovative and agile services
at the highest quality of experience and drive revenue, while reducing
CAPEX and OPEX.
"A core component of the demonstrated solution is the Vantrix
Media Platform, a software-defined video-processing, optimization,
caching and analytics platform available as a turnkey appliance for
deployment on-premise or in the cloud," said Jean Mayrand, CEO of
Vantrix. "Built on OpenStack for virtualization, it offers a modular,
pluggable and extensible architecture using policy-driven control for
precise optimization of media experiences for mobile delivery."
"Changing consumer consumption habits are forcing mobile
operators to rethink their media processing infrastructures, and
traditional fixed-function hardware no longer provides the flexibility
and scalability required," said Werner Schaefer, vice president, Network
Functions Virtualization, HP. "HP OpenNFV and HP Server technology,
together with Vantrix solutions for media optimization, will help
operators cost-effectively deliver the highest quality mobile
experiences."
