Racemi, a provider of automated server migration software,
announces availability of a new version of its DynaCenter software
that provides even more options for migrating to Amazon Web
Services (AWS) and IBM SoftLayer cloud computing resources. Those
include support for Windows Server 2012 servers, additional Amazon
and IBM data centers in Europe, as well as a "dynamic memory mode"
for servers with constrained processing resources.
Now, DynaCenter 6.0 adds support for Windows Server 2012 R1 and
R2 migrations to AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), AWS GovCloud (US)
Region, and AWS Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).
In addition, support has been added for migrating workloads to
the Amazon Frankfurt (eu-central-1) region, giving customers a
choice of deploying to 10 Amazon data centers worldwide.
Also, support has been added for the IBM SoftLayer data center
in Paris, which means customers have a choice of deploying to 12
IBM SoftLayer data centers around the globe.
Now, a new feature - called dynamic memory mode - is used during
the server capture process to create limits on available memory
utilization on resource constrained systems. Combined with Racemi's
existing CPU and network sensitivity features, dynamic memory mode
ensures that critical applications continue to run unaffected
during the server migration process.
"DynaCenter continues to offer the broadest coverage and deepest
integration with AWS and SoftLayer to ensure migrations can be
automated with minimal manual work," said James Strayer, vice
president of product management, Racemi.
Licensing of DynaCenter starts at $299 per successful workload
migration, with volume discounts available.
Racemi is an AWS Technology Partner that automates server
migrations into and between Amazon EC2, Amazon VPC, and AWS
GovCloud (US) Region. Racemi was awarded an AWS Partner Network
Leadership Award at the most recent AWS re:Invent show.
Racemi has also teamed with IBM SoftLayer to offer no cost
migrations to SoftLayer customers.
Racemi's DynaCenter migration software captures the entire
server stack--including operating system, applications, and
configuration--and automatically converts it to run on the selected
cloud platform by applying the necessary tools and drivers during
the migration process. This ensures existing workloads are migrated
in their time-tested configuration, resulting in improved
reliability and reduced support requirements. There is no
infrastructure to deploy or maintain on the customer's site and key
features such as Live Capture ensure there is no server downtime.
All customer data is secured and compressed using AES/RSA SSL
encryption over firewall- friendly, fault tolerant outbound HTTPS
connections to provide maximum protection and reliability.
