Scale Computing Named a 'Cool Vendor' by Gartner
Scale Computing, the leading provider of hyperconverged solutions, today announced that it has been included in the list of "Cool Vendors" in the Cool Vendors in Servers and Virtualization, 2015 report by Gartner Inc.

Each year, Gartner identifies new Cool Vendors in key technology areas and publishes a series of research reports highlighting these innovative vendors and their products and services. The annual reports highlight emerging vendors that provide innovative technologies warranting attention from prospective customers.

The Cool Vendors in Servers and Virtualization report looked at vendors across a number of different server- and virtualization-related markets. The five vendors included in the report illustrate for infrastructure and operations leaders how to assess and expand server functionality beyond traditional OSs and hypervisors, concluding that "I&O leaders should examine the Cool Vendors closely and leverage the opportunities that they provide."

"Our inclusion in Gartner's Cool Vendor report recognizes Scale Computing as an emerging leader in the hyperconvergence marketplace and further validates our approach to making virtualization easy," said Jeff Ready, CEO at Scale Computing. "With IT at SMBs and enterprise departments spread incredibly thin trying to support the infrastructure, run critical applications and perform day-to-day help desk support, the ability to converge the hypervisor, storage and networking into a single solution reduces costs and complexity compared to traditional virtualized environments."

Scale Computing's HC3 systems are designed to provide high availability, scalability and simplicity for small to mid-sized company virtualization environments. The HC3 platform brings storage, servers, virtualization and management together in a single, comprehensive system. With no virtualization software to license and no external storage to buy, HC3 products lower out-of-pocket costs and radically simplify the infrastructure needed to keep applications running. HC3 products make the deployment and management of a highly available and scalable infrastructure as easy to manage as a single server.
