VMTurbo Announces "Take a Demo, We'll Plant a Tree" for Earth Day
VMTurbo, the only demand-driven control platform for the software-defined data center, today announced its "Take a Demo, We'll Plant a Tree" program for Earth Day. For the month following Earth Day, VMTurbo pledges to plant a tree for each product demo completed. The donation was inspired by a recent study conducted by the Natural Resources Defense Council, finding that increasing server utilization could reduce data center electricity consumption by more than 40%, significantly reducing carbon pollution.

"Today's data centers waste 39 billion kilowatt hours of energy each year, equivalent to leveling 22 million acres of trees," said Geeta Sachdev, VMTurbo CMO. "VMTurbo's mission is to ensure data center managers can utilize their infrastructure as efficiently as possible, reducing waste and emissions. According to experts, increasing server utilization is the key for companies to save energy and cut costs, and this year we want to make a positive environmental impact on behalf of those dedicated to making the planet a greener, healthier place."

The VMTurbo Earth Day "Take a Demo, We'll Plant a Tree" program lasts from April 22 to May 22, 2015.
