Artisan Infrastructure, the leading channel-only innovator of cloud
management software and enterprise-class Infrastructure-as-a-Service has
acquired Neverfail
Group, a global provider of business continuity and application
dependency / service mapping software. With Neverfail’s award-winning
products and Artisan’s
cloud management platform Cloud Architect, service providers, ISVs,
MSPs, enterprises, and mid-market companies can now design, build,
manage and monitor complex business solutions in the cloud as well as
protect their critical business services. Terms of the deal will not be
made available.
“We acquired Neverfail, known for its deep-rooted success guarding the
availability of business-critical applications, with a vision of
modernizing the toolset for the cloud computing era,” said Artisan
Infrastructure CEO Brian Hierholzer. “The addition of the Neverfail
technology within Cloud Architect’s Disaster Recovery (DR) Cloud
Solution Marketplace will offer a compelling business-critical recovery
service recipe as companies continue to search for near-real-time cloud
recovery service options where performance expectations are high, and
security and access are paramount.”
Industry analysts continue to revise cloud adoption predictions upwards.
Earlier this year, UK-based Ovum Ltd. estimated that more than 80
percent of global enterprises will be using IaaS, primarily in private
cloud computing, by 2016. Other industry analyst firms and investment
bankers, including Goldman Sachs, share that optimism.
While Artisan will focus initially on building out the Neverfail
Business Continuity-as-a-Service recipe in Cloud Architect’s DR Cloud
Solution Marketplace, it will continue to expand its vendor-neutral
ecosystem model, offering integration options to its growing list of
Cloud Architect ISV ecosystem partners. The company’s existing base of
several hundred service-provider customers as well as the channel can
leverage the scalability and flexibility of Cloud Architect to meet the
needs of its enterprise, mid-market and SMB customers.
Many of the Neverfail staff and key executives have assumed roles within
Artisan. The acquisition expands Artisan’s global footprint, now
including offices in the UK, the Middle East and North Africa, with a
growing development facility in Romania.
“We have an exciting opportunity ahead, with more and more service
providers and enterprises looking for a trusted source to provide
high-levels of autonomy, control, security and visibility in their
journey to the cloud,” Hierholzer said. “Our approach serves as the glue
to pair 3rd party software with our Cloud Architect platform
so service providers can bring compelling offerings to market faster for
their customers. Channel partners and enterprises are in a position to
migrate their most vital applications to the cloud faster, and with a
high degree of confidence.”
