dinCloud,
a cloud services provider that helps businesses rapidly migrate to the cloud
through business
provisioning, today announced dinDNS,
an affordable and scalable cloud Domain Name System (DNS) service. With dinDNS,
dinCloud customers can buy a bundle of 25 domains or
more through their dinManage
accounts. Additionally, customers will be able to add, remove, and
edit any of their domain records through dinManage.
Websites, VoIP phones, and many mission
critical systems rely upon DNS. Because of this, DNS becomes an easy and
frequent target for hackers who infiltrate systems using Distributed Denial of
Service (DDoS) techniques - a serious threat to any business. With dinDNS,
dinCloud combats such attacks through its Anycast network design, which
is spread across 20+ data centers worldwide. That, combined with ThreatSTOP's
IP Reputation (IPR) response system, disables botnet networks at dinCloud's
Internet edge routing platforms.
"Few services can truly claim they are
impervious to any type of attack, much less offer high end features at an
incredibly low price," said Mike Chase, CTO at dinCloud. "With dinDNS,
customers received military grade protection for their most critical services -
web, email, IP phones, and more - making the service a must-have for any sized
company or individual consumers who own domains, but do not want to park them
with a lesser protected, redundant provider."
The release of dinDNS greatly enhances the
environment and infrastructure management capabilities of dinCloud's
enterprise and SMB customers. Major benefits include:
-
Impermeability to
large scale (500gbps+) DDoS and other attacks
-
Low cost, high
value
-
IPv6 and IPv4
compliant with all record types available
-
Geographic
quality of service ensures fast name query resolutions for services, users, and
customers worldwide
-
Integrated with
easy-to-use dinManage user control panel protected by two factor authentication
"Over the years, dinCloud has consistently
provided its customer base with a robust set of security capabilities. Through
the new dinDNS service, dinCloud aims to differentiate itself from the
competition with another important and affordable way to ensure that a
customer's cloud environment is highly secure," said Karin Kelley, consulting
analyst, Structure Research.
dinDNS is $10 per month for the first 25
domains and is available to current dinCloud customers who can easily sign up
for the service through dinManage. Customers can migrate to dinDNS by logging
into their current DNS provider, or utilizing dinCloud's solution experts for a
seamless transition with zero downtime for a one-time fee.
