Compass Networks Examines Network Security, SDN/NFV at Light Reading’s Big Telecom Event
Executives from Compass Networks, a next-generation networking company and icPhotonics pioneer, are participating in panel discussions at Light Reading’s Big Telecom Event, which runs from June 9 – 10 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The topics are network security and software-defined networking and network function virtualization (SDN/NFV).
  • Taking Control of the Control Plane – Compass Networks Chairman and CEO Matt Bross will help identify the best approaches for using SDN and NFV in the control plane to facilitate service orchestration and to enhance security and peering between networks. The panel session will be held on June 9th at 3 p.m. CT
  • Dealing with DDoS and Advanced Persistent Threats – Joseph Dahan, Vice President of Business Development at Compass Networks, will participate in a panel highlighting strategies service providers can use to protect their infrastructures from distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks and advanced persistent threats (APTs). The session takes place on June 9 at 4:15 p.m. CT

Light Reading’s Big Telecom Event is the largest gathering of service providers in North America. The event reports on topics ranging from virtualization to cyber-security.
