Springpath Achieves VMware Ready Certification

Springpath, a pioneering hyperconverged infrastructure software company, today announced it has achieved both VMware Ready certification and vStorage APIs for Array Integration (VAAI) certification.

“Springpath Data Platform, the market’s most flexible hyperconvergence solution, is now certified by VMware as VMware Ready, proving its broad applicability to a variety of enterprise use cases including VDI, Server Virtualization, and Test and Development,” said Ravi Parthasarathy, VP of Product Management at Springpath.

As part of the VMware Ready certification, Springpath Data Platform is now listed on the VMware Compatibility Guide. In addition to the baseline certification, Springpath has also achieved VMware VAAI certification. The VMware VAAI integration allows customers to offload the creation of copies of production data and accelerate time-to-market of applications to Springpath’s fast and space efficient native snapshots and clones without worrying about impacting performance, vastly reducing VM backup and VM provisioning times. This certification also ensures that Springpath’s hyperconverged solution is fully orchestrated and managed by the broadly supported VMware vSphere web client.

“Native control from the vCenter environment enables a near-zero learning curve for administrators of the Springpath solution,” said Chris Saso, Executive Vice President of Technology at Dasher Technologies, a Springpath partner. “This is a huge benefit for our clients to provision both compute and storage from within vCenter, thus reducing time to react to changing business requirements.”

Springpath’s software, integrated with vSphere, dramatically lowers IT operational burdens while delivering a flexible and powerful hyperconverged solution. Springpath extends vSphere administrators’ management capabilities, delivering unparalleled levels of agility and intelligent resource utilization.
