RackWare
and WSM International today announced an agreement that brings together
RackWare automated cloud management software and WSM migration services
specialists to assist customers with transitioning workloads to public
cloud computing resources.
WSM
is now a certified RackWare Partner and has added RackWare Management
Module (RMM) software to its complement of solutions that can help
quickly and easily migrate customer workloads. RackWare now has the
ready resources and market-leading expertise of WSM certified
specialists to help customers through the migration process.
The
companies recently worked together on an enterprise customer migration
project to transition a custom application and SQL stack on Windows 2012
servers from a different managed hosting service provider to the Amazon
Web Services (AWS) GovCloud (U.S.) platform.
"Our
software provides automation when migrating on-premises workloads to
public clouds accelerating migration projects from several weeks to just
days and saving over $1,000 per server in the process," said Sash
Sunkara, CEO and co-founder of RackWare. "We are delighted to partner
with WSM to offer a capable services complement and help our customers
move smoothly through the migration process."
RMM
is capable of cloning production servers by enabling full replication
of the operating system, applications and data from production servers
into cloud recovery instances.
"RackWare's
software gives us an innovative and market-tested tool to apply when
we're helping customers migrate workloads," said Ryan Pelerin, founding
partner and chief operating officer, WSM. "We're motivated by anything
we can do to make migrations faster and more efficient."
WSM
cloud transformation professional services include consulting,
architecture, discovery and assessment, dependency mapping, migration,
configuration, development, DevOps, load testing, security, and testing
to ensure a comprehensive and successful cloud adoption experience for
every WSM customer and partner.
