CloudBolt
Software today announced new features and capabilities on its
powerful cloud management platform that enable enterprise IT to gain the
greater flexibility, cost efficiency, and security that SDN,
microservices, and a choice of more than a dozen leading cloud
environments provide.
CloudBolt continues to lead the way in enabling IT to deliver service
agility and flexibility while still maintaining control over their
multi-cloud environments. The latest capabilities include support for
VMware NSX and for Docker and Kubernetes. CloudBolt has also added
support for three additional cloud platforms, IBM SoftLayer, HP Helion,
and CenturyLink Cloud, bringing the total number of cloud platforms on
CloudBolt to thirteen.
"As a leading provider of cloud management services, we are continually
evaluating and integrating emerging technologies into our platform to
meet the ever-changing needs of enterprise IT. In the past year, we have
seen a marked increase in the number of enterprises that want to take
advantage of the benefits of SDN and container technologies," said Jon
Mittelhauser, CEO, CloudBolt. "Our latest version of CloudBolt enables
enterprise IT to more easily and cost effectively access and reap the
benefits of these technologies, by providing a simple and powerful
interface to deploy and manage them."
CloudBolt Offers Support for Leading Container Technologies Including
Docker and Kubernetes
Container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes provide easily
configurable and transportable services. The CloudBolt cloud management
platform now provides management of microservices, acting as a ‘manager
of managers' and allowing IT to configure containers within CloudBolt to
facilitate deployment and management of container services.
CloudBolt Brings New Level of Flexibility and Deeper SDN Integration
with Support for VMware NSX
Enterprises are increasingly looking to SDN and Network Functions
Virtualization (NFV) to simplify network configuration and management.
CloudBolt has extended its support for VMware NSX, providing powerful
diagramming features that show relationships to servers not available in
other cloud management platforms. With CloudBolt support for SDN,
network administrators can gain the advantages of SDN within the
CloudBolt cloud management platform, allowing them to easily define
networks as they deploy environments and then quickly remove them when
they are no longer needed.
CloudBolt Enables IT to Choose the Right Cloud for the Job with
Support for Three New Cloud Environments
With the addition of IBM SoftLayer, HP Helion, and CenturyLink Cloud to
the CloudBolt platform, enterprise IT customers have a wider range of
locations where they can configure and publish capacity through the
CloudBolt Service Catalog, including new locations in Canada, India,
Italy, and Mexico. This new version also expands CloudBolt's existing
support for standards-based cloud technologies including OpenStack and
Cloud Foundry.
