Skycure,
the leader in mobile threat defense (MTD), today announced that it has
joined the AirWatch Mobile Security Alliance as a charter member. As
part of the company's commitment to AirWatch and to further the goals of
the Alliance, Skycure today released the advanced integration of
Skycure MTD with AirWatch by VMware Enterprise Mobility Management
(EMM). Skycure for AirWatch now automatically stops access to sensitive
information on high-risk mobile devices to protect the organization from
contamination and enforces AirWatch security and compliance policies,
based on a risk score calculated by Skycure.
Skycure for AirWatch adds active threat defense on top
of mobile management for comprehensive mobile security. The new Skycure
for AirWatch adds to Skycure's previous integration with AirWatch that
allowed automatic deployment of Skycure across mobile devices in the
organization.
The new features automate enforcement and protect
enterprises from leaking sensitive information via high-risk mobile
devices. Once a device has been deemed risky by Skycure (whether by
malware infection, network attack, or open vulnerability), that device
can be excluded from access to sensitive information or from the
corporate network entirely. Active protection also includes the ability
to enable automatic VPN tunneling if the user is in a threatening
network. Enforcement rules can be created in a single place and enforced
across the system, keeping mobile devices safe from internal and
external mobile cyber attacks.
"Skycure was created to enable business and mobile
connectivity but still keep corporate assets safe," said Adi Sharabani,
CEO of Skycure. "With this integration, IT can plainly see if a specific
device is high-risk before it accesses any part of the organization and
act on that device without interrupting business. IT can create
policies that block access to sensitive company data for those specific
devices, or cut devices with malware off from corporate email without
any manual intervention."
Skycure for AirWatch allows organizations to:
- Easily and automatically deploy Skycure using AirWatch Enterprise Mobility Management
- Define custom security and compliance policies in Skycure and AirWatch
- Set up business enforcement rules in AirWatch based on risk information from Skycure
- Detect and mitigate multiple types of threats including malware attacks, network attacks, and vulnerabilities
- Enforce granular policies such as restricting access
to corporate network, install or remove configuration profiles, block
or remove managed applications, change settings, and even wipe the
device in extreme cases
- Increase resilience by proactively detecting and mitigating mobile cyber attacks in real-time
Skycure for AirWatch bridges the gap between the muscle
power of EMM and the intelligence of Mobile Threat Defense. The combined
solution keeps companies ahead of hackers for both BYOD and
corporate-owned devices.
Added Sharabani, "Every EMM customer I have spoken to
within the last year has identified visibility and enforcement as a gap
in their overall mobile security posture. They all have a great set of
security and compliance policies on their EMM solution but no visibility
into the kind of attacks their mobile devices are facing to put those
policies to work. With this integration, Skycure adds visibility and
active mobile protection, filling the gap and bringing effective mobile
threat management to masses."
"AirWatch continues to focus on adding best-in-class
solutions to the growing partner ecosystem," said Erik Freiberg, vice
president, End-User Computing, VMware. "Skycure's security and threat
prevention capabilities fit seamlessly into the AirWatch Mobile Security
Alliance. Together we allow customers to focus on enabling business
mobility rather than dealing with the complexities of managing and
securing devices."
