Leostream Signs Global Distribution Agreement with Dell to Accelerate Remote Workstation Deployments
Leostream, a leading developer of hosted desktop management software, announced that is has entered into a global distribution agreement with Dell. Under the terms of the agreement, the Leostream Connection Broker, which is the most widely deployed vendor independent connection management tool for regulating access to end-user computing resources hosted in the data center, is now available to Dell's customer base through a dedicated distribution sales team. With Leostream, Dell will be able to accelerate large-scale deployments of remote desktops using Teradici PCoIP Workstation Access Software on Dell Precision workstations.

Today's news extends the company's successful 5+ year partnership in which Leostream's technology has been used to deliver a rich remote desktop experience for Dell Wysethin client and mobile thin client users. "This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our partnership," comments Mike Palin, CEO of Leostream. "Not only does it make it easier for organizations to purchase the broker through Dell's channel partners and online store, but it also expands our integration efforts with Dell's broad portfolio of remote workstation products."

Leostream provides the critical connection broker technology required for enterprises to achieve successful large-scale virtual and hosted desktop implementations. It is the vendor of choice for Teradici PCoIP Workstation Access Software, which in combination with Dell Precision offers users a seamless remote workstation experience. Optimized for the Teradici and Dell solution, Leostream's software facilitates end-user connections to workstations running high-quality graphics while providing IT administrators with the tools they need to streamline desktop connections and track resource usage.

"We're pleased to be offered alongside Teradici and Dell Precision as a remote access solution," commented Palin. "Remote workstation technology is key for mobilizing workforces, and with the inclusion of Leostream, customers gain a suite of functionality that can help deploy at scale."

In addition to its support for Teradici PCoIP Workstation Access Software, Leostream manages a wide variety of high performance protocols as well as the back-end operating systems, hosted physical systems, and hypervisors, that are commonly found in enterprise-wide virtualization initiatives. By providing a centralized connection management layer, the Leostream Connection Broker simplifies the delivery of physical and virtual resources hosted in the data center.
