Palerra, the cloud security automation company, today
announced the launch of its new
LORIC Incident Response Library for Amazon Web
Services (AWS), and Behavioral Analytics for AWS. The library is the first in a
set of Palerra templates for the AWS Cloud.
Enterprises relying on AWS infrastructure to build and deliver custom applications can now use Palerra's
LORIC platform for deep visibility and governance. LORIC seamlessly covers infrastructure,
applications and users across AWS, complementing the AWS platform security
according to the shared responsibility model.
The LORIC platform covers all
critical AWS resources that fall under a customer's responsibility,
including configuration of Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Elastic Load Balancing and
Amazon Route 53. In one click, IT security teams can set the desired
configuration baseline and level of security across any number of AWS
resources, environments and custom applications.
Palerra, a silver sponsor at AWS re:Invent, will demo this brand
new technology at booth
number 1029.
"LORIC has allowed our small IT security team to seamlessly scale to
the needs of the business and monitor multiple regions of our AWS environment,"
said Daniel Thomas, director of IT at Edgile. "We use AWS for our client
projects and to store sensitive data. The ability to monitor for weak
security controls and suspicious user activity across our entire cloud
environment is critical to our business success."
To further serve IT security teams in protecting their cloud
environments, Palerra has extended LORIC with an Incident Response Library-a set of recommendation templates for IT
Security teams, allowing them to quickly respond to any risk events related to
cloud applications. The Incident Response Library offers recommendations on
detected threats, security controls, and policy alerts relevant to any
enterprise using AWS environments.
LORIC Behavioral Analytics for
AWS monitors all user activity across an organization's entire cloud
footprint in real time, detecting dangerous actions taken by privileged users,
actions that can put a company at risk. In addition to AWS, LORIC Behavioral Analytics also covers
enterprise cloud services including Salesforce, Box, Microsoft® Office 365 and
ServiceNow.
"Enterprises globally have embraced AWS for their mission-critical
workloads and applications. As more applications move into AWS, enterprise
security teams maintain responsibility for ‘security in the cloud', and need
visibility across both the cloud infrastructure, as well as the applications
that run on them," said Rohit Gupta, founder
and CEO of Palerra. "With today's release, our LORIC platform now
provides comprehensive visibility, precise behavioral analytics and a rich set
of incident response templates, optimized for AWS."
The LORIC platform, including Incident Response Library for AWS and Behavioral Analytics is generally available
now.
