Tintri Announces Tintri vSphere Web Client Plugin 2.0 and Tintri Management Pack for VMware vRealize Operations at VMworld Europe 2015
Tintri Inc., a leading producer of VM-aware storage (VAS) for virtualization and cloud environments, today announced expanded support for VMware customers with the upcoming release of the Tintri vCenter Web Client Plugin 2.0 and the Tintri Management Pack for VMware vRealize Operations (VROps). With these announcements, Tintri continues its leadership in providing VMware customers with the most comprehensive VM-level hypervisor integration for vSphere, building on its strong partnership with VMware.

Tintri at VMware Europe 2015

Tintri will demonstrate the vCenter Web Client Plugin and its integration with vRealize Operations, along with Tintri VMstore T5000 All-Flash and T800 Hybrid-Flash series VM-aware storage, Tintri Global Center 2.1 and more at VMworld Europe in Barcelona, Spain on October 12-15. Tintri is a Platinum Sponsor at VMworld and will be exhibiting at Booth P307. Tintri will also be presenting at three breakout sessions throughout the week.

Tintri and VMware vSphere Web Client

Tintri provides a native UI for managing storage operations such as cloning, snapshots and replication at the VM level. The new vSphere Web Client Plugin 2.0 allows these Tintri operations to be initiated and monitored through the native vCenter Web Client for added productivity. New features include granular role-based access controls (RBAC), allowing administrators to assign rights to perform Tintri commands to certain users and groups; support for Tintri VM-level quality-of-service (QoS); support for Tintri SyncVM for snapshot-based recovery and updates; and more. "The Tintri vSphere Web Client Plugin 2.0 builds upon our previous Plugin release, providing further integrations with Tintri software, an enhanced design for efficient workflows and more granular role-based access control. Customers can continue to use the familiar vSphere Web Client interfaces while giving admins access to Tintri VM-aware storage features - all directly from within VMware vSphere interface," said Kieran Harty, co-founder and CTO of Tintri.

Tintri and VMware vRealize Operations

Tintri provides actionable, real-time VM-level analytics for every VM on the system. The Tintri Management Pack for vRealize Operations 6.0 provides Tintri VM-level storage statistics, trending and insight to vRealize Operations, making management and troubleshooting of storage in large virtualized environments and private cloud deployments a breeze. This update provides support for the latest releases of vRealize Operations 6-including both 6.0 and 6.1. "For those organizations that use vRealize Operations with Tintri, the Tintri Management Pack for vRealize Operations is an option that allows Tintri's per-VM metrics to further enhance the management and monitoring of their entire virtualized infrastructure," said Harty. "Tintri is the only vendor that can provide real-time storage analytics at the VM-level to help vRealize provide a more complete picture of enterprise operations."

Tintri and the VMware ecosystem

Today's announcements represent only the latest milestones in the deep integration with VMware that Tintri has maintained since the first VMstore shipped in 2011. In addition to vSphere Web Client and vRealize Operations support, Tintri VMstore also supports: · vSphere APIs for Array Integration (VAAI) through a free VMware-certified plugin · View Composer API for Array Integration (VCAI) through VMware certification · Certified Storage Replication Adapter (SRA) for integration with VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) · Integration with PowerCLI through the Tintri PowerShell Toolkit · Integration with VMware Integration OpenStack (VIO).

Availability

Both the Tintri vSphere Web Client Plugin 2.0 and the Tintri Management Pack for vRealize Operations will be downloadable from the Tintri Support website within thirty days and will be free to existing Tintri VMstore customers under a current support contract.
