Globo Unveils The Industry's First Complete Mobility Solution For iOS 9 App Design, Development And Deployment
Globo Plc, a global provider of complete enterprise mobility management and application development services and solutions, today announced its comprehensive support for iOS 9 to meet the needs of IT, line of business managers and end users.

Today’s mobile enterprises require app development be tightly integrated with a company’s mobility management platform, and that the entire environment must keep pace with the rapidly evolving mobile operating systems and devices used by employees, partners and customers. Globo recognises this mission-critical business requirement, and upon Apple’s release of iOS 9 the company delivered the industry’s most comprehensive support for iOS 9 enterprise mobility.

Today 50% of Globo’s Go!Enterprise On-Demand EMM users with Apple devices have already adopted iOS 9. Updates to support iOS 9 span across Globo’s products and services, including:

GO!Enterprise EMM: IT workloads can be reduced, and enterprise mobility improved, thanks to iOS 9 updates that include optimised device setup, improved app installation management, and enhanced security policies. This delivers increased control, compliance, and mobile security.

GO!AppZone MADP: line of business managers are now free to design, develop, test and deploy mobile apps on Globo’s innovative, cloud-based mobile application development platform that leverages iOS 9 specific features.

Mobile Design & Development Services: In 2014, Globo acquired Sourcebits, a mobile app design & development agency. The agency has a rich history of building successful iOS applications for hundreds of companies around the world, including Hershey’s, Intel and GE. As part of Mobility Business Solutions, the mobile app design and development teams have integrated iOS 9 features into the new Sourcebits App Fuel suite of services to continue delivering innovative, powerful mobile apps.

Security enhancements from Globo’s iOS 9 update include strengthening device passwords and new restriction options for automatic app downloads, Apple News, iCloud Photo libraries, AirDrop, keyboard shortcuts, screen recording, Apple Watch pairing and user modifications to the device name, passcode and wallpaper. Mobile app management updates to support iOS 9 include empowering IT to block side-loading apps from outside the App Store, and seamlessly transitioning pre-installed apps by end-users into managed apps suitable for the enterprise.

“In this new age of mobile enterprises, companies have to prepare for employees, partners and consumers rapidly adopting the latest technologies including iOS 9. At Globo, we realise companies must embrace mobile changes wholeheartedly and without delay,” said Mittal Parekh, VP of Products and Strategy at Globo PLC. “Apple’s latest release offers several new features and enhancements that are going to help IT, app developers, and line of business managers in achieving their business objectives. We are proud to meet their needs with same-day support for iOS 9 across our portfolio of products and services.”
