Accelerite
announces significant enhancements to ConVirt, its unified cloud
management platform with greater self-service capabilities and LDAP
Integration. ConVirt now supports a feature rich web-based console for
VMware, KVM, Hyper-V and AWS. The benefits for the customers include:
- Allow end users to provision and manage their virtualization needs without IT involvement
- Extensive IT controls using authorization and quota management
- Eliminating the need to buy multiple vendor specific products to cover each platform
- Layers on top of existing virtualization environments turning them into private clouds seamlessly
- Allows cloud and data center solution providers an ability to provide a self-service UI to their customers
According to Nara Rajagopalan,
CEO of Accelerite, "Agile makes businesses more responsive and
competitive in the digital world. ConVirt brings the benefits of Agile
to IT so business users can optimize their virtualization initiatives.
All this is accomplished without compromising IT visibility and control,
helping eliminate the ever growing problem of shadow IT."
Rocky Mountain Data, a client of Accelerite, with facilities throughout North America, has been providing data center-based solutions to customers for more than 10 years. According to Derek Anderson,
CEO, "ConVirt is critical for our competitiveness as the cloud market
moves to much more of a commodity business where vendor lock-in gets
cost prohibitive. Having the flexibility to offer a comprehensive
variety of platforms to the end-user and still have that managed by a
single interface is a key to the growth of our business."
Derek adds "Providing a customer
facing solution with ConVirt lets our customers get more of what they
need when they need it. This flexibility leads to our customers enjoying
an increasing use of our facilities at a much higher rate than before. A
fully browser based solution eases the effort by our customers when
interacting with our systems in a common low cost method, which is a
huge advantage over similar offerings in the market for similar feature
sets."
