Velocify, the leading sales acceleration platform, today announced
Matt Reid
has joined the company to serve as vice president of marketing,
responsible for overseeing all marketing initiatives during a period of
exceptional growth for the company. Reid, who previously served as chief
marketing officer for Procore Technologies, will lead corporate
marketing, product marketing, market research, demand generation, and
sales development functions in his new role, bringing his extraordinary
experience growing enterprise- and SMB-focused software-as-a-service
(SaaS) companies to guide Velocify's global expansion.
Reid will direct overall corporate
and product marketing strategy and execution, and oversee demand
generation and sales development functions worldwide. He will be
instrumental in continuing the trajectory of wider adoption of
Velocify's market-leading sales acceleration platform, a cloud-based
solution that is uniquely suited to give companies the tools and data
insight needed to implement sales processes that deliver speed, control,
and ultimately higher lead-to-won conversion rates.
"Velocify will benefit enormously
from Matt's deep knowledge and experience growing cloud technology
companies," said Velocify CEO and President Nick Hedges.
"He will play a key role in driving awareness and understanding of
Velocify's unique capabilities in an increasingly complex sales
acceleration landscape."
Reid has served for more than 15
years in executive marketing roles for technology companies. Most
recently, he led global marketing for the advertising technology company
OpenX as well as building sales and marketing from the ground up for
Eucalyptus Systems, an open-source cloud platform acquired by HP.
Earlier in his career, Reid led product marketing for all SaaS
technologies at Citrix, directing the initial market launches of
GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar.
"Even with the tremendous interest
the sales acceleration market has generated, we know that this market
has an immense capacity to grow as more businesses understand the need
and realize the value of a highly-optimized, insight-driven sales
approach," Reid said. "I'm incredibly honored to join Velocify, a
company that is transforming the results of every sales team we serve.
The thousands of customers already leveraging the Velocify platform
demonstrate that this company is in pole position in a massive global
market."
Reid earned his Master of Business Administration degree in marketing at California State University, Sacramento, and dual bachelor's degrees at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
