Runaware Releases ServerVision, New Virtual Desktop Monitoring and Management Solution for Microsoft RDP, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop

Runaware today announced the release of ServerVision. This new program monitors a wide variety of virtual desktop platforms, including Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, Microsoft RDP and VMware Horizon View, to provide system administrators a proactive view of their virtual desktop environments.

"Administrators have an increasingly difficult time monitoring their virtual desktop environments," said Andy Poulter, CEO of Runaware. "The product provides a rich set of tools to comprehensively monitor their environments, ensuring that they can proactively stay on top of user sessions, memory, CPU, network latency and a host of other metrics."

How it works
An elegantly programmed, easy-to-use tool, ServerVision monitors a wide range of key performance indicators on virtual desktop environments, enabling administrators to take proactive action before problems happen. Common problems like CPU usage, bandwidth, unusual server load and license tracking are simple to solve.

CPU, memory and bandwidth consumption
ServerVision provides a quick overview or detailed stats on all key metrics, such as CPU, memory usage and bandwidth consumption as well as connection latency - for individual users, or an entire server farm.

Manage active sessions
Active session management is critical to a smoothly running infrastructure. Idle resources can be removed from activity, and re-purposed to other areas. Administrators can list user session activity and process activity and actively manage them -- disconnecting, logging off, sending popup messages, shadowing, and more.

Track user time
Tracking user time is key to understanding which users are using the most (or least) resources. With ServerVision, administrators can easily track user time to see where resources are being used and where they can be optimized.

Track Software Licenses
Administrators can Track software licenses to ensure compliance with CSP, SPLA or similar license agreements.

User assistance
ServerVision has the ability to provide remote assistance, record sessions, or "shadow" users (view their activity remotely).

Reporting
ServerVision includes an extensive list of standard reports to allow tracking of a wide range of key metrics.

Pricing and system requirements
ServerVision is available on the dedicated ServerVision website at http://www.servervision.co starting at $99 per server per year, with discounts for larger volumes.

System requirements are Windows Server 2003 SP2 and above; Windows Vista, 7, 8.1. and 10. 1gb of memory is recommended.
