AppOps Will Emerge to Complement DevOps and Streamline Business and IT Operations in 2016
In
2016, mainstream enterprises will embrace the growing DevOps movement
to simplify applications management and accelerate the ability of IT
organizations to respond and adapt to new business priorities. Today's
increasingly dynamic markets are requiring IT to accelerate the secure
delivery of new apps demanded by line-of-business managers to ensure
their people have the apps and data resources they need to thrive in
this dynamic global marketplace.
While
DevOps - a movement emphasizing collaboration between software
developers and IT pros - has emerged to bridge the gap between software
development and IT and accelerate the pace of software innovation,
this is particularly relevant for in-house, custom developed
applications.
IT
needs a fast, simple way to securely roll out and deliver new
applications in alignment with operations - an AppOps approach. Just as
DevOps creates an automated lifecycle between software development and
IT operations - AppOps creates an automated lifecycle that streamlines
application deployment and management so IT can assess, secure, deliver
and manage new enterprise and SaaS apps with the agility now demanded by
line-of-business managers.
As
mainstream enterprise IT organizations embrace DevOps - and the AppOps
automated approach to application management - they will become faster,
more nimble, and more flexible and responsive to the demands
of business managers.
