The recent beta release of Microsoft Azure Stack has generated a lot of excitement around the new possibilities this technology will enable for private and hybrid clouds.

Azure Stack uses the same code base as Azure (Microsoft's public cloud offering), and makes it available in a private, dedicated environment.

Rackspace CTO John Engates and Rackspace Chief Technologist Jeff DeVerter recently sat down to discuss what this evolution means for the Microsoft cloud portfolio as well as for customers interested in private cloud deployments.
