Egenera,
a leading provider of wholesale cloud services and cloud management
software to the channel, today announced its recent success in EMEA,
marked by significant new appointments, partnerships and growth in its
customer base.
Key highlights that contributed to Egenera's upward trajectory include:
- 78% year-over-year revenue growth in EMEA Xterity Cloud business
- The hiring of Till Brennan as Vice President of Egenera EMEA Sales.
Till brings over 15 years of experience in developing new territories
and in creating and executing sales strategies throughout EMEA.
- The opening of the company's UK cloud, based in Equinix's London
datacenter. Egenera now runs Xterity in London, Dublin, Tokyo, Boston,
San Jose and Ashburn, VA.
- The company's selection as a supplier on G-Cloud 7, the Crown
Commercial Service's procurement framework for cloud-based computer
services. This widely acclaimed system saves significant amounts of time
and eliminates the costs of paper-based files, physical storage and
courier services. Egenera's Xterity is now available to the public
sector through this framework.
- The signing of over 100 direct MSPs in EMEA who are reselling Xterity's white label cloud services to customers
- The signing of Entatech, a UK-based distributor whose Entacloud, based on Xterity, is being resold to its network of 5,000 MSPs
- Being named a CRN Cool Cloud Vendor from CRN's 2016 Coolest Cloud Vendors list
Egenera's Xterity Cloud Services deliver a full range of dedicated,
managed, private and hybrid cloud services, including Infrastructure as a
Service (IaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and Backup as a
Service (BaaS), exclusively through the channel. With Xterity, resellers
can quickly enter the cloud services market with no up-front capital or
ongoing maintenance costs. Unlike reselling public cloud services,
Xterity delivers the margins resellers need to develop a profitable
cloud services business.
"We partnered with Egenera in late 2015 and use its Xterity Cloud
Services as the basis for our Entacloud white label cloud offering to
our 5,000 MSPs," said Paul Lloyd, cloud evangelist at Entatech UK LLC, a
new Egenera distributor. "Xterity enables us to offer an easy to use,
highly available and flexible cloud services platform to our end users.
We've quickly gained traction in the marketplace and are rapidly signing
up revenue generating MSPs with Xterity."
Hale IT is a UK-based MSP and one of the first Entacloud customers.
"We're using Entacloud to deliver Sage accounting solutions through the
cloud to our customers," said Graeme Eddie, managing director of Hale
IT. "Our customers like the subscription model and the fact that they
have reduced the cost and complexity of maintaining servers and other
components, and we like the ease of use and the ability to increase
revenues by providing the same functionality through the cloud."
Andy Arnold, Head of Products at Arrow Business Communications Ltd., a
UK-based MSP who began offering Xterity in 2015 commented:
"Our customers were asking for us to provide Infrastructure as a Service
(IaaS) solutions to move them to the Cloud. After due diligence on
numerous suppliers, we were impressed with Egenera's pedigree and
immediate value in their Xterity platform and they became our chosen
partner in this space. Xterity is a proven solution and we liked that we
could quickly get our customers up and running on cloud services with
no up-front costs and good margins."
"The combination of a quality wholesale public cloud offering and deep
channel relationships has translated into a highly successful entry into
EMEA for Egenera, said Pete Manca, CEO of Egenera. "Till and his team
are working with several new distributors in the region, as well as key
MSPs who have hit the ground running and are rapidly adding new
accounts."
