Gridstore Brings Its Hyperconverged Infrastructure to Cloud Expo Europe for the First Time
Gridstore, the leader in hyper-converged all-flash infrastructure, is attending this years' Cloud Expo Europe for the first time. The event, which is being held from 12 -13 April at the Excel Centre, will be an opportunity for Gridstore (stand 150) to showcase its leading hyper-converged infrastructure for the cloud and data centre markets.

Gridstore, which has recently closed a $19 million growth capital funding round, will be demonstrating its range of Microsoft enabled hyper-converged appliances. With its patented software, Gridstore hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) can reduce physical space by up to 75 per cent while offering a more cost-effective alternative to VMware solutions.

"We are very excited about bringing our market-leading HCI to Cloud Expo Europe for the first time. We have seen a rapid growth in the hyper-converged market over the last year and our own growth is proof of that. As well as our recent funding announcement, we have also secured an exclusive distribution agreement with Microwarehouse, Ireland's leading IT distributor, as well as expanded our EMEA coverage to include Norway and the Baltics," said Andy Hill, Vice President of EMEA Sales.

"The broad deployment of virtualisation is now driving many organisations toward the development of private clouds, to leverage resources, modernise IT, and be responsive to business demands. Our hyper-converged infrastructure can enable these organisations to deliver elastic resources when and where needed, along with the performance, scalability, and value necessary. Many companies face prohibitive licensing costs with their VMware deployments without realising that migrating to Hyper-V is cost-effective and risk free," he continued.

In a recent study, 71 per cent of respondents said they were either already, or planning on converting to HCI in the near future. In addition to this, 19 per cent of respondents confirmed that their disk systems would be decommissioned. The desire for a smaller physical and environmental footprint can be seen as one of the key drives in the growth of hyper converge applications. The added incentives of high performance and cost reductions are also seen as growth factors.

In addition to supporting private clouds, service providers can also offer attractive public cloud service solutions that scale with customer's needs. Gridstore's hyper-converged infrastructure allows service providers the flexibility to purchase at the desired rate of customer deployment, expanding as they grow. Furthermore, service providers can leverage single pane management when trying to meeting customer satisfaction levels/SLA's.

Gridstore's Benefits

  • Meet SLAs by delivering performance during peak hours and around the clock with all-flash architecture
  • Guarantee application performance using Gridstore's QoS to set priority levels on a per-VM basis
  • Independently scale as user demands grow, starting with current demands and adding as needed
  • Pass significant savings through flexible deployment options ranging from all flash to hybrid models addressing performance and capacity needs at the best price/performance
