Modern Monitoring Guide: Zenoss Survey Announced

Zenoss, Inc., the leader in hybrid IT monitoring, today announced its 2016 Guide To Modern Monitoring survey is now open for all IT professionals. The deadline for submission is July 13, 2016. Once complied, all participants will receive the full Definitive Guide to Modern Monitoring report, which will provide organizations insight into innovative monitoring best practices and the trends that are shaping the industry.

The adoption of new technologies like virtualization, converged infrastructure and the cloud, are increasing the complexity of monitoring for IT Operations. New services, often tied directly to financial value for companies, must rely on progressively more dynamic infrastructure models. If traditional/legacy monitoring systems are not designed for these dynamic models, IT Operations must find a different approach for monitoring them.

"We believe today's monitoring landscape consists of a wide range of options: Some are software stack or manufacturer-centric, others are point tools designed for singular purposes, some are legacy frameworks, while others try to provide a centralized source of information," stated Mike Lunt, Vice President of Engineering at Zenoss. "We want to understand how modern IT Operations teams are approaching the monitoring requirements of their businesses, highlight common challenges, understand how these issues are affecting performance, and uncover any best practices."

Today's modern IT ecosystems are dynamic, complex, and flexible. IT Operations teams are on the hook to maintain reliable service levels while simultaneously providing new and innovative offerings that address business demands. In this study, we hope to uncover both the most common, and most effective, approaches that industry leading companies are taking to ensure their monitoring tools are up to the task.

Zenoss invites global IT leaders to take the short survey, please find it here and feel free to share with colleagues.
