Diamanti, creators of the industry's first turnkey networking and
storage appliance that brings rapid time-to-market and guaranteed
performance to Linux containers, today at Red Hat Summit announced
support for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, powered by Kubernetes
orchestration and Docker-formatted Linux containers. The Diamanti and
Red Hat solution allows developers to build modern, containerized
applications ready for production performance requirements, while
enabling operators to quickly and reliably deploy applications to
perform at scale.
"Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform is optimized for delivering
applications and services, allowing our customers to continue innovating
and differentiating in the marketplace," said Julio Tapia, director,
OpenShift ecosystem, Red Hat. "Together with Diamanti, we believe that
convenience and predictability in application development and IT
operations is fundamental for enterprises creating new classes of
applications. The combined Diamanti solution with Red Hat OpenShift
Container Platform provides users with an open platform to more quickly
and easily build, deploy, and scale containerized applications."
Diamanti meets demanding DevOps requirements of modern, containerized
applications with a turnkey appliance that enables easy network
interoperability with quality-of-service, plus persistent container
storage deployment in seconds with low latency, guaranteed performance.
Through contributions to the open-source Kubernetes project, Diamanti
integrates with the Red Hat developer workflow so that users can specify
their container networks, define storage volumes, and consistently
deploy applications throughout their lifecycles. Users specify network
and storage requirements with vendor-agnostic options in their
application's pod definition files. Upon deploying pods via Red Hat
OpenShift Container Platform, Diamanti assists in container scheduling
for optimal placement and activates IO guarantees of network and storage
performance in real time.
"Container technology is quickly becoming the norm for modern enterprise
applications that run in a distributed, scale-out architecture," said
Mark Balch, vice president of products at Diamanti. "Red Hat OpenShift
Container Platform helps to streamline the application lifecycle for
containers. As enterprises begin to look at how to best operate modern,
containerized applications in production, Diamanti offers tremendous
value over infrastructure built for legacy applications. Diamanti
provides a solution that is plug-and-play with existing networks, works
with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, and delivers performance in
real time. We're excited to be working with Red Hat, together meeting
the needs of users as they transform their businesses with modern,
containerized applications."
