DataCore to Present on Storage for High-Performance Databases and Improving Tier 1 Application Performance at Flash Memory Summit

DataCore's Director of Product and Solutions Marketing will Present Two Papers and Moderate a Panel Session at the Flash Memory Summit.

Here are the details:

THE WHO:

Ibrahim Rahmani is director of product and solutions marketing at DataCore Software, the leader in Parallel-Powered Software, Application-Adaptive Data Infrastructure and Hyper-converged Virtual SAN solutions. A well-known industry thought leader who has spoken at VMworld, Symantec Vision, and other premier storage events, Rahmani has more than 20 years of storage background at companies including EMC, Veritas, VMware, and Nimble Storage.

THE WHAT:

Rahmani will present papers at two sessions and moderate a panel discussion at the upcoming Flash Memory Summit

On Tuesday, August 9, from 8:30 - 10:50 a.m., Rahmani will present "Driving Down Storage Costs for High-Performance Databases" as part of the "Flash in Data Centers" track. High-performance databases are at the heart of many types of applications, including extreme transaction processing, Big Data, Engineering and research, and the emerging Internet of Things applications. A common thread is the requirement for very fast database access combined with very large databases. Addressing these requirements in the past required expensive and complex data storage strategies. This session will address how storage virtualization, Parallel I/O and intelligent caching can meet these requirements at a much lower cost.

Later that same day, from 3:20 - 5:45 p.m., Rahmani will present "Increase Tier 1 Application Performance, Availability, and Flexibility While Reducing Costs" in the "Enterprise Applications" track. Rahmani will examine how a major government firm significantly increased its Tier 1 application performance, availability, and flexibility with software-defined Storage (SDS). Participants will learn how to meet application performance and availability needs, and how to gain the same level of storage flexibility as server virtualization.

On Thursday, August 11, from 2:30 - 3:45 p.m., Rahmani will moderate the "Flash in Big Data Applications" panel session, featuring KRS Murthy, CEO of i3 World, Rod Bagg, vice president of analytics and customer support at Nimble Storage, Gary Lyng, senior director of marketing and strategy at Sandisk, and Gil Russell.

THE WHEN:

Flash Memory Summit will take place August 9-11, 2016.

THE WHERE:
