Tintri Inc.,
a leading producer of VM-aware storage (VAS) for virtualization and
cloud environments, today announced the completion of a record second
quarter-driven by the success of the T5000 all-flash series and recent
scale-out storage innovations. This announcement follows Gartner's
recent recognition of Tintri as a Visionary in the 2016 Magic Quadrant
for Solid-State Arrays.
Expanded All-flash Lineup and Scale-out Technologies
The company's second quarter started with the launch of its new VM scale-out storage platform
in May. This included expansion options for the T5000 VMstore all-flash
series -- allowing for nine configurations spanning 17 TB to 308 TB in
just two rack units. Tintri also introduced predictive analytics for
capacity and performance planning, which was adopted by more than 30
percent of Tintri customers within a month of availability. And Tintri
launched VM Scale-out technology that automatically recommends the
optimal placement of every VM across a customer's storage pool.
"Tintri's
momentum stems from its highly differentiated product lineup. The
ability of VM-aware storage to slash management effort and guarantee
performance has attracted more than 1,000 customers, including 20
percent of the Fortune 100. Our success spans regions -- both EMEA and
APAC set sales records in the quarter," said Ken Klein, chairman and CEO
of Tintri. "Our customers are trusting Tintri with mission critical,
virtualized applications, and increasingly often as a backbone of their
private or hybrid cloud strategy."
New and Improved Channel, Partner Programs Drive Growth
The
growth of Tintri's business was spurred in Q2 by significant
advancements in the company's channel and partner programs, such as the
introduction of the Tintri Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Solution that helps CSPs build differentiated cloud services with Tintri VM-aware storage.
Tintri also expanded its Global Partner Program
to assist 300 partners worldwide with more market development funds and
new discount programs on products used in partner labs and demo
environments. And the company signed a distribution agreement with
Promark Technology, Inc., an Ingram Micro company, to distribute Tintri
products to Promark's portfolio of authorized resellers and system
integrators across North America.
The Tintri reseller program and
employees behind it were recognized through numerous awards in Q2,
including a five-star rating in the CRN 2016 Partner Program Guide, an
annual guide that lists technology companies that sell through the
channel. CRN also recognized John Schwan, Tintri Vice President of
Channel Sales, as a 2016 CRN Channel Chief.
