Tech Data Offers Data Protection through Expanded Agreement with Veeam
Tech Data Corporation today announced an expanded agreement with Veeam Software, provider of availability, backup, replication and virtualization management solutions. Through the agreement, Tech Data is now a rental aggregator for Veeam in the United States and will offer Veeam availability software to Veeam Cloud & Service Provider (VCSP) partners through its Tech Data Cloud business.

“We chose to partner with Veeam because of its VCSP program, its service provider model and the company’s reputation for high reliability in the marketplace,” said Stacy Nethercoat, vice president, Tech Data Cloud, Americas at Tech Data. “Veeam’s pay-as-you-go model enables partners to meet their clients’ business needs with flexible monthly billing terms. For Tech Data Cloud, this expanded agreement allows us to partner with a premium vendor and add additional disaster recovery-as-a-service options at a time when always-on availability is a requirement for enterprises of all sizes.”

Solution providers in the U.S. can now access Veeam’s data protection and virtualization management software through Tech Data Cloud for a monthly rental fee. Tech Data managed service providers (MSPs) who join the VCSP program can now protect hosted virtual machines and applications or provide Veeam-powered services by leveraging Veeam’s availability software.

We look forward to working with Tech Data to add to the more than 12,400 service providers already in the VCSP program.”
