5nine Software Announces Enhanced Protection of Microsoft Hyper-V Infrastructures with the Release of Cloud Security v8.1

5nine Software, a Microsoft Gold Partner and leading global Hyper-V virtualization security and management provider, today announced the release of Cloud Security v8.1, which supports Hyper-V Server 2016, Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and Server Core 2016.

5nine Cloud Security is a unified security and compliance solution designed to specifically address virtually every Hyper-V vulnerability across every virtual resource. Its lightweight agentless architecture enables administrators to easily secure and enforce compliance across multi-tenant Hyper-V environments and isolated virtual machines.

5nine Cloud Security v8.1 includes enhanced logging, simplified intrusion detection analytics, improved antivirus notifications, along with dozens of other management, scalability and performance enhancements, together with support for the latest Windows Server 2016 editions.

"With the new 2016 release for Microsoft's Cloud Platform, and the introduction of the shielded virtual machine, Hyper-V environments will be even safer now," said Morgan Holm, VP of Product Management at 5nine Software. "Due to their scale, larger data centers are still exposed to the risks of compromising their infrastructure by various hacking techniques, malware and vulnerabilities. Administrators can protect their Microsoft Cloud infrastructure with 5nine's comprehensive security and compliance solution."

5nine Cloud Security now supports Windows Server 2016 (including Server Core) and Hyper-V Server 2016. Now data centers administrators are able to:

  • Run non-intrusive virus scans and achieve active protection for hosted VMs through Bitdefender, Kaspersky Labs and ThreatTrack antivirus engines.
  • Save time and resources from faster engine synchronization, monitoring and notifications.
  • Isolate threats faster using a simplified IDS analytics and alerts with Snort for Business.
  • Streamline upgrades policy and PowerShell administration.
  • Comply with regulations and reporting tasks easier with enhanced logging.
  • Empower their data centers with Security as a Service (SECaaS)
