Login VSI, an industry leader in performance insights for virtualised desktop and server environments, announced that its Login AM product, which effectively automates, maintains and deploys VDI environments, will now leverage VMware vSphere for image creation. This will allow IT organizations to manage and automate the creation, maintenance and update process for virtual images. Login VSI will showcase these VDI operations (VDIops) management product integration, alongside updates to Login VSI and Login PI, at VMworld 2016 Europe in Barcelona.
“As VDI deployments themselves expand and become more complex, so does the IT environment that they depend on. This drives us to provide integration between our VDIops management software and the vendors that enterprise IT teams rely on,” said Eric-Jan van Leeuwen, CEO of Login VSI. “At VMworld, we’re excited to showcase our product that leverages VMware technology to enable IT organizations to manage VDIops and improve the most essential component of VDI success, the end user experience, through integration and automation.”
At VMworld 2016 Europe in booth S121, Login VSI product experts will demonstrate these product updates as well as all three components of the Login VSI suite for VDI ops management. Attendees can also hear from Login VSI CTO, Jeroen van de Kamp, who will share insight on the current changes in virtual workspaces and how to achieve true hyper–productivity with VDI projects in a presentation on Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 13:50-14:10. Login AM: Automate, Maintain and Deploy Virtual Desktop Environments
Organizations now find themselves maintaining an average of five golden virtual images which all need to be patched, updated and configured. To simplify VDIops and lifecycle management, Login AM now works with VMware vSphere and provides a wizard-driven interface to manage virtual images by automating the creation, maintenance and update process. This will:
- Reduce the number of images created through dynamic configuration
- Enable maintenance of multiple tailored images for individual end users or departments automatically
- Standardize and automate image creation and maintenance through VMware vSphere or Citrix Provisioning Server
Additionally, with the new SCCM connector, Login AM can re-use existing SCCM packages allowing VDI specific configurations without changes impacting the original package stored in SCCM. This fast migration from SCCM packages to Login AM eliminates the need to manually re-create them in Login AM, and streamlines the deployment and security of devices and applications across an enterprise.
Login VSI: Predict and Validate the Performance of VDI
The Login VSI product makes it easy to load test, benchmark and plan capacity to improve end user experience and productivity virtualized desktop environments. Adding improved capture of VMware-hosted performance results, now up to 600 times faster, allows for better support for “soak-testing,” i.e. long and large tests.
Login PI: Gain Performance Insights on Virtual Desktops
Login PI gives performance insights by simulating real users performing real user tasks in real applications to show what users are actually experiencing. New email alerting capabilities and interactive dashboards along with improved installation options enhance the simulation by providing more accurate performance insights.
