Bluelock, provider of Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS) for complex environments and sensitive data, today announced that Gartner, Inc., the leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry, has recognized it in the latest Critical Capabilities for Disaster Recovery as a Service. Bluelock scored above 4.0 in each Use Case: Mission-Critical Workload Recovery (4.23), Extended Recovery Operations and Managed Service Failover (4.22), Managed Service Failover (4.20) and Production and Application Data Recovery (4.08).
According to the report, “DRaaS became mainstream in 2015, with many providers experiencing double-digit revenue growth. DRaaS production instances have climbed from approximately 30,000 in 2015 to more than 50,000 thus far in 2016.” Additionally, “By 2018, 20 percent of enterprises with a minimum of 5,000 employees will be failing over the operation of one or more production applications to DRaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS) or cloud-enabled managed hosting.”

The research report focuses on the key areas essential to the selection of DRaaS providers and services for four use cases.
Bluelock was also recently positioned by Gartner in the “Leaders” quadrant of the 2016 “Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery as a Service” and received recognition as an IDC Innovator for Cloud Services Enablement in the report, “IDC Innovator: Cloud Services Enablement, 2016.”
