IndependenceIT Featured Among Leading Workspace-as-a-Service Providers

IndependenceIT, a cloud management platform provider that enables IT departments, service providers and ISVs to easily deploy Software Defined Data Centers, App Workloads and Cloud Workspaces, today announced inclusion in the Markets & Markets Workspace-as-a-Service Vendor Comparison for 2016. IndependenceIT was selected for this report based on an evaluation by Markets & Markets which focused on the available set of integrated solutions offered for creating digital workspaces.

The Markets & Markets Vendor Comparison on Workspace-as-a-Service (WaaS) is based on the research firm’s DIVE methodology where the criterion for selected vendors is scored on a scale ranging from 0 to 10. The report includes a comprehensive study of key vendors offering WaaS through the channel and Independent Software Vendors (ISV’s). In order to be considered, participants must be able to demonstrate the ability to easily deliver workspaces, applications, and data from multiple cloud infrastructures to their commercial customers. The report was developed to provide key stakeholders with detailed information about vendors offering their WaaS platforms to commercial clients. The report reviews major players that offer a set of integrated capabilities to facilitate and enable digital workspace deployments and outlines these findings.

According to the report, “The digital workplace encompasses all the technologies that people use to get their work done in today’s workplace such as HR applications and core business applications to e-mail, instant messaging, enterprise social media tools, and virtual meeting tools. Most of the enterprises are keenly focusing on the way their employees are communicating with each other wherein workloads can be securely delivered over heterogeneous platforms. The key advantage of deploying a digital workspace is the flexible provisioning of secure workloads, along with end-to-end business application recovery, controlled access, and the management of business applications through a single unified portal.”

IndependenceIT’s Cloud Management Platform (CMP+) provides partners with the architecture, technology, and tools to deploy software defined data centers, deploy and manage applications workloads and workspaces in the cloud. The technology’s foundation is a tightly integrated tool set and API to orchestrate the hypervisor(s), software defined data center(s), Windows operating system(s), Windows API(s), and Windows Active Directory to manage a single- or multi-tenant architecture. This allows CSPs, MSPs, ISVs, and enterprises to easily assign machines to organizations, secure them in the infrastructure, and manage all Windows system administration and active directory tasks needed to implement application workloads or Cloud Workspaces®.

In addition to IndependenceIT, the report also features CloudJumper, an Elite Partner of IndependenceIT. CloudJumper provides a fully packaged suite of infrastructure, software, services, and support to simplify WaaS delivery for MSPs, telcos, ISVs, agents, and other IT service providers based in part on CMP+. Additionally, VMware, Inc., Citrix Systems, Inc., Microsoft Corporation, and Amazon Web Services were included in the report.

“We were very pleased to be included in this detailed report on WaaS, along with CloudJumper, a key U.S. partner,” said Seth Bostock, CEO, IndependenceIT. “The numbers in this market continue to reflect an upward trend which the market has taken notice of. As an increasing number of organizations transition to WaaS, our engineers remain at the forefront of innovation to ensure efficient, top tier service delivery by our global network of partners.”
