TechTarget Names Datos IO RecoverX Storage Product of the Year Finalist

Datos IO, a leading provider of application-centric data management software including data protection for cloud-scale applications, today announced that it has been selected as a finalist in the Storage magazine/SearchStorage.com 2016 Products of the Year awards. Datos IO's flagship product, RecoverX, was selected by the publication in the Backup and Disaster Recovery category.

The Storage magazine/SearchStorage.com 2016 Products of the Year recognize the most outstanding offerings in various storage categories. A team of expert judges - consisting of editors, independent analysts, consultants and users - evaluate the industry's top storage products based on criteria like innovation, performance, ease of integration, and value.

"Being selected as a finalist by TechTarget/Storage Magazine among many of the traditional vendors validates our vision, our customer traction and immense opportunity we see for Datos IO as enterprises migrate traditional applications to the cloud and seed next-generation applications natively in the cloud," said Tarun Thakur, co-founder and CEO. "Unlike traditional VM, LUN or backup appliance centric protection, our flagship product RecoverX integrates tightly with traditional and next-gen applications providing one-click, orchestrated and repair-free recovery for both operational recovery and test/dev use cases, recoverability at any interval and granularity and reduces secondary storage costs up to 70 percent with industry-first semantic de-duplication. Given the rapid adoption of cloud for enterprise applications and workloads, the need for cloud-first data protection is now."

Datos IO RecoverX is founded upon Consistent Orchestrated Distributed Recovery (CODR), Datos IO's cloud-first, scale-out data management architecture enabling customers to harness the cloud for both traditional and next-generation data protection and management. CODR is based on elastic compute services that can be auto-scaled with load, removes the dependency on media servers and transfers data in parallel to and from file-based and object-based secondary storage for multiple workloads including data protection and test/dev.
