VM Racks Selects Array Networks to Provide Scalable, Secure and Customizable Remote Access to Cloud Infrastructure Services

Array Networks Inc., a global leader in application delivery networking, announces today that VM Racks, a HIPAA compliant cloud hosting provider, has selected Array vxAG virtual secure access gateways to provide scalable, secure and customizable remote access for end-user customers to manage their virtual environments while securing data in-transit and at-rest.

VM Racks offers managed cloud solutions for healthcare, government and other organizations that require a high level of security and protection for sensitive protected health information, data and applications. As a HIPAA compliant hosting provider, the company must assure the security of both data at-rest within their data centers, as well as data in-transit between a customer's cloud environment and the data center. For the latter, VM Racks requires an SSL VPN secure remote access solution.

Based on innovative features and capabilities, such as cloud management integration, hardware ID-based multi-factor authentication and simplified role-based access control, as well as easy scaling via software-centric virtual appliances, VM Racks selected Array Networks to meet its expanding business requirements and to position the company for rapid growth.

"We wanted a solution that is built from the ground up for SSL VPN," said David Breise, network engineer and systems administrator for VM Racks. "Our goal is to provide our customers with a robust, secure cloud infrastructure while making the user experience as easy as possible. The vxAG is very capable, customizable and flexible and we're using it to automate the customer process from A to Z. What's more, we have no concerns over hitting limits; if we need to, we just bring up additional virtual appliances."

With Array vxAG virtual secure access gateways in place, VM Racks is uniquely positioned to capture a larger share of the growing healthcare data market by offering its customers a range of cloud-hosted infrastructure services with a level of access, security and control that enhances productivity while assuring that patient and client information remains safe.

"With demand for infrastructure as a cloud service on the rise, there is a corresponding increase in the need to provide secure access to remote data centers and public and private clouds," said Paul Andersen, senior director of marketing at Array Networks. "Array's vxAG virtual SSL VPN appliances are ideal in these environments, especially where compliance is paramount, and we are delighted to help VM Racks enhance their service offerings and provide their customers with a superior end-user experience."
