Datos
IO, the application centric data management company, today announced
that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Promark Technology,
a premier U.S.-focused value-added distributor (VAD) and wholly-owned
subsidiary of Ingram Micro Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, Datos
IO's RecoverX product will now be available to Promark's vast portfolio
of value-added resellers (VARs) in the United States through a dedicated
distribution sales team.
With
70 percent of CIOs having a cloud-first strategy, the typical
enterprise is now operating IT across a multi-cloud infrastructure,
deploying traditional and next-generation cloud applications on the best
suited cloud whether private, public, or managed. Built on the
industry-first seminal Consistent Orchestrated Distributed Recovery
(CODR)
data management architecture, Datos IO's RecoverX solution is elastic
data management software that provides application consistent backups,
orchestrated and automated any point-in-time recovery, and
industry-first semantic global deduplication. Datos IO supports
relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, big data-based
filesystems, next-generation cloud applications and cloud and
non-relational databases such as Cassandra and MongoDB. With RecoverX
enterprises of any size can protect their data at any level of
granularity and at any point in time (flexible RPOs), reduce downtime
with recovery in minutes (low RTOs) not hours, save up to 70 percent on
backup storage costs, and efficiently mobilize their data to, from and
across clouds. This empowers enterprises to support use cases such as
backup and recovery, test/dev in the cloud, cloud on-ramping and
migrations.
"The
rapid proliferation of next-generation applications being born in the
cloud and traditional applications being migrated to the cloud has
created enormous demand for Datos IO," said Peter Smails, vice president
of marketing and business development at Datos IO. "We are pleased to
be working with Promark to bring our solutions to their growing network
of partners and customers. Our expanded reach not only enables us to
meet the growing demand for our solutions but more importantly, helps
organizations tackle the challenge of protecting and managing all their
enterprise applications."
Promark
holds a General Services Administration (GSA) schedule and distributes
solutions through a two-tier distribution channel that resellers can use
to sell products to government customers even if they do not hold a GSA
contract themselves. Promark also has experience helping other
high-growth technology companies like Veeam scale and expand their
distribution.
"We've
been looking for next-generation backup and recovery solutions geared
towards next-generation applications," said Dale Foster, general manager
of Promark Technology. "Unlike traditional backup and recovery
solutions, Datos IO's cloud-first, application-centric solution is
purpose-built for distributed and cloud-native applications, creating
net-new opportunities for our network of resellers."
