Zenoss Inc., the leader in hybrid IT monitoring and analytics software, today announced the launch of its Dell/EMC Isilon 1.0 ZenPack.
Isilon Network-Attached Storage (NAS) Platform
"There
is no question that IT organizations must modernize and automate their
infrastructure and transform their data center operations into the cloud
environment - one that is fully automated and self-service," said
Marcus MacNeill, vice president of product management at Zenoss. "This
new ZenPack provides storage for the Isilon scale-out NAS platform.
Isilon continues to grow in popularity for high-volume storage for
backup and archiving."
Isilon
storage has found a foothold in the NAS space due to its targeted
design to resolve ever-expanding data growth and management challenges
associated with the increased demand for scalable storage.
Zenoss and EMC
Zenoss
works with EMC to enable enterprises to optimize existing IT and legacy
investments to free up resources for next-generation IT that will
transform the business. As noted in the "Gartner Magic Quadrant for Distributed File Systems and Object Storage,"
Isilon continues to grow enterprise adoption from traditional file
system support to additional use cases, including video surveillance,
big data analytics, backup and active archive.
The New EMC Isilon ZenPack
Utilizing
the OneFS operating system, Isilon unifies cluster nodes into a single
shared resource. The Isilon ZenPack supports Isilon hardware utilizing
the OneFS 8.x releases and provides in-depth monitoring of the NAS
performance, utilization, status, metrics and events for array
components including:
- Clusters
- IFS file systems
- Snapshots
- Nodes
- Chassis
- Disks
- Sensors (Fans, temperature sensors, power sensors)
