Are you attending VMworld 2017 in Las Vegas, NV? If so, I invite you to add CloudVelox to your MUST SEE list of vendors.
With so many vendors exhibiting at VMworld, how do you know which booths
to visit
and who to get on your busy schedule? One of the companies on VMblog's
list this year is CloudVelox. CloudVelox
is a pioneer in cloud automation and orchestration
software that's designed to automate workload mobility and optimization between
the data center and public clouds. If you aren't yet familiar with them, this is a great time to get to know them.
Read this exclusive pre-show interview with CloudVelox to learn what they have planned for the
upcoming
VMworld 2017 event.
VMblog: As a VMworld 2017 sponsor, how can people find you this year?
CloudVelox: We are an Exhibitor level this year, so we have a 10x10 booth and we are located in booth #1008. We'll have 8 team members there, so please come by and get a demo.
VMblog: Tell us about your booth setup.
CloudVelox: We're graphically displaying our latest capabilities around VMware
as a target destination for our migration and recovery use cases.
VMblog: Can you give readers a few reasons why your product or service is
considered unique?
CloudVelox: Our automation and
orchestration software provides mobility and protection of existing application
workloads between data centers and clouds. Some of the unique capabilities are:
- Automated application
blueprinting (identifies workload characteristics)
- Cloud network customization
- Application-centric
- Enterprise grade
- Automated workload
optimization
- Intuitive user experience
- Single solution for
multiple use cases
VMblog: Why should a VMworld attendee add you to their MUST SEE list?
CloudVelox: Come to our booth to see a
live demo of how we integrate AWS and VMC with on-premises infrastructure and
mobilize application workloads between the two. You can do this without
upgrading the on-premises vSphere version.
VMblog: What do you like most about sponsoring VMworld?
CloudVelox: Meeting with partners and
customers and hearing about what business problems they are facing especially
when it comes to Cloud.
VMblog: Why was this
a must sponsor event for your company this year?
CloudVelox: VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC)
VMblog: Can you give VMblog readers a sneak peek as to what you will be
showing off at your booth this year?
CloudVelox: Live demonstrations of migrations into AWS, VMC on AWS,
and Cloud back to VMware virtualized Data Center destinations as well as
recovery demonstrations.
VMblog: What should attendees expect to see and hear at your booth?
CloudVelox: We can move any workload to AWS
or VMC and move any workload from any cloud to a VMW virtualized data
center. "Workload portability."
VMblog: How does your company and product fit within the VMware ecosystem?
CloudVelox: We are a VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP). We help migrate or recover workloads in your
data center or VMC environments.
VMblog: What are you looking forward to most at VMworld this year?
CloudVelox: The launch of VMC on AWS. We've
heard the demand from customers has been overwhelming by both VMW and AWS
executives.
VMblog: This isn't your first VMworld event as a sponsor. So what keeps you coming back?
CloudVelox: No, we've sponsored twice before. And what keeps us coming back? The level of
engagement with senior level customers and partners.
VMblog: How has exhibiting at VMworld helped your company's
bottom line?
CloudVelox: We've had
extremely strong uptake in sales following the announcements of VMware last
year about VMware Cloud on AWS and our latest announcement on August 2nd
have continued to drive customers and partners to our website and ultimately
turned them into opportunities.
VMblog: Do you remember your first VMworld event? What can you tell us about it? What memories stand out?
CloudVelox: It's been
a few years. If I recall, it felt like a VDI and Storage companies show!
VMblog: What would you say to prospective attendees who
are thinking about attending VMworld but aren't sure if it's worth it or not?
CloudVelox: Public
cloud adoption is now mainstream. VMware cloud on AWS (VMC) makes it possible
to take advantage of existing skill sets and tools while leveraging the public
cloud. Anyone who is considering building hybrid clouds by integrating native AWS,
and VMC with on-premises infrastructure and mobilizing application workloads
between the two should plan on attending VMworld.
VMblog: What do you hope to come away with from
exhibiting at VMworld?
CloudVelox: Additional
exposure, and as you might expect, new partners to work with and customers.
VMblog: Do you have any tips for first time attendees of
VMworld that you'd like to share?
CloudVelox: Don't
forget to have fun while learning new things.
VMblog: Attendees always enjoy a good trade show tchotchke. Are you
guys giving away anything special or interesting this year?
CloudVelox: We'll have starbuck's gift cards and some mouse pads as giveaways.
VMblog: Does your company have any speaking sessions during the
show?
CloudVelox: We have a session in the Amazon booth (time and day are still TBD) but
our speaker will be Rajeev Chawla the Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer.
