anywhere. It's web-based, secure, works well with firewalls, and doesn't
require any prior installation to start or join a remote support
session. Spiceworks Remote Support will enable IT professionals to
better support a mobile workforce by remotely resolving issues with
employees' hardware, software, and cloud services at no cost.
"IT
professionals are challenged to support an increasingly mobile
workforce that is constantly on the go," said Francois Caron, Executive
Director of Spiceworks IT Product Management. "By enabling IT
professionals to remotely access workstations over the internet,
Spiceworks Remote Support will make it much easier to see what's really
happening in a user's environment and quickly resolve any issues without
being physically present."
"Remote
support has become indispensable considering the distribution of
teams/customers across countries. At the same time, IT pros need simple
and free tools to support their customers. It'll be ideal if all
essential applications are available at a single place and for free,
like Spiceworks. We're glad to add remote support functionality to the
toolkit as it would benefit IT pros a lot," said Raju Vegesna, Chief
Evangelist at Zoho. "We hope it should add significant value as
supporting remote customers no more means buying exorbitant software."
