The Year Ahead for Oracle Cloud Service Providers

The year ahead will continue to bring a heavy volume of customers approaching Oracle service providers to migrate their enterprise applications to Oracle Cloud, with the expectation that partners will provide more than just traditional technology deployments. By suggesting innovation-led, value-added services including strategic roadmap, advisory, and user experience design capabilities for Oracle Cloud adoption, service partners can help support business growth and achieve cost advantage, scalability, elasticity and security.

Based on interactions with customers and the analyst community, we can expect the adoption of industry solutions on Oracle Cloud will gain further momentum in 2018. Given below are some of the emerging Oracle Cloud solutions that will drive collaboration at the workplace:

Customer Experience

We expect a strong focus on adopting the complete Customer Experience portfolio on Oracle Cloud. The platform provides solutions and offerings for marketing, sales, services and social, which will provide a rich omni-channel experience to the customers. The automation capabilities being introduced by Oracle will help optimize marketing budgets and channel mix using marketing resource management, while enhancing campaign reach through multi-channel campaign programs and automated campaign management. The platform will also enable users to deliver personalized and relevant offers through real-time decisions and dynamic offer generation, improve lead conversion rates by applying advanced analytics to nurture, and manage social engagement on multiple platforms.

Unifying HR Functions

Having identified ‘talent' as one of the most crucial drivers for success, organizations are adopting a new direction for Human Resource Management Systems (HCM), making it an enabler of business. Organizations want to unlock the potential of their human capital by attracting, engaging, empowering and retaining the right talent. It is becoming imperative for enterprises to unify human resources functions across the organization and revamp the employee experience, just as they are doing for their customers. Such unified systems will allow companies to align business goals with individual objectives, in contrast to the manual and slow processes of the past. Managers will gain a single-pane view across the organization and will be able to tap into talent to provide opportunities for employees. 

Improving Financial Control & Visibility

Customers are selecting the cloud environment for finance and supply chain functions to foster better operational control and visibility, reduce the time required for month-end processing, improve productivity and enable a faster decision-making culture across the organization.

Transforming Transactional Systems with AI and Machine Learning

Embedding artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning into transactional systems will empower customers to enhance operations while optimizing costs. The new Oracle Adaptive Intelligent Apps fulfil this need by assimilating advanced AI and machine learning algorithms into Oracle Cloud to deliver the industry's most powerful AI-based modern cloud applications. With impact being delivered across finance, supply chain, procurement, human resources, marketing, sales and service, organizations can make better decisions about their day-to-day activities. For example, Warranty Management on Oracle Cloud uses geographic-specific data from Data Cloud, on-board diagnostics data from vehicles and insights from the AI platform to provide early warning of fraudulent claims, failures due to seasonal changes, and frequent failures in supplier-specific parts.

The inclusion of Internet of Things capabilities and Blockchain Cloud Service has also significantly strengthened the Oracle Cloud portfolio. With more and more enterprises looking to adopt such futuristic technologies to enhance their businesses, we can certainly expect a boom in the adoption of industry solutions on Oracle Cloud in 2018.
