WekaIO Wins CRN 2017 Tech Innovator Award

WekaIO has been recognized by CRN, the Channel Company, with the 2017 Tech Innovator Award. In compiling the annual 2017 Tech Innovator Award list, CRN editors evaluated 216 products across 32 technology categories using several criteria, including technological advancements, uniqueness of features and potential to help solution providers solve end users' IT challenges. WekaIO's Version 3.1 took top honors in the Cloud storage category.

WekaIO Matrix is the first distributed file system written to run natively on NVMe and Flash technologies, delivering the highest performance files storage for compute-intensive applications and technical compute workloads. Launched at AWS Re:Invent, the new snapshot functionality in WekaIO's Matrix Version 3.1 is designed to help users fully realize the promise of the cloud with a single vendor solution to support remote backup to Amazon S3, cloud bursting from on-premises to AWS for on-demand computing or utilize its Pause/Resume feature for cost-effective utilization of Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances.

"WekaIO Matrix Version 3.1 allows enterprises to develop a true utility compute and storage model with extreme performance, high bandwidth and cloud scalability while delivering significant cost savings," said Barbara Murphy, VP of Marketing at WekaIO. "We are very honored to be recognized by CRN for the unique offering we have developed. We are working with our channel partners to eliminate storage bottlenecks and deliver speed and agility that their customers require for deep learning and analytics workloads."

"The vendors and products on CRN's Tech Innovator list represent some of the most creative and forward-thinking achievements yet seen in the IT channel," said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company. "We are honored to celebrate their ingenuity and the growth they are driving across the industry, from increased worker productivity and sales to expanded solutions for complex problems and trailblazing innovation."
