ZeroStack, Inc.,
creators of the self-driving on-premises cloud, today announced its
vision for a Five-Step Journey to leverage existing investment in
on-premises virtual infrastructure. The journey begins with ZeroStack's
Intelligent Cloud Platform to enable developers to drive operational
tasks. The result is an on-premises cloud solution that slashes the
infrastructure management burden on the IT department. The journey
combines DevOps automation with customer control, and consists of these
five steps:
1. Automatic installation and configuration, where the developer controls when automated updates occur;
2. Integration that brings together AWS and VMWare, facilitating the best of both worlds with workflows migration controlled by users;
3. Self-service provisioning based on templates defined by users;
4. Advanced machine learning to automate processes, where the data scientists leverage telemetry and operational history; and
5. Automated upgrades, where the environment owner monitors the process.
"Our
customers thrive on automated systems for creating productive Agile
DevOps environments," said Tracy Ragan, CEO of OpenMake, providers of
DeployHub, an open source scalable Continuous Deployment solution.
"ZeroStack delivers an automated DevOps system that empowers developers
while reducing the burden on the IT organizations that support them,
creating IT that moves at the speed of Agile DevOps."
"To
remain relevant, IT departments need automated tools that allow
self-provisioning for DevOps organizations," said Dan Conde, senior
analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group. "A self-driving cloud leads to
faster code creation and deployment while keeping IT relevant by
overseeing the on-premises infrastructure."
