SolarWinds MSP,
a global leader in delivering comprehensive, scalable IT service
management solutions to IT solution providers and MSPs, today announced a
phased rollout of a new single-sign-on (SSO) login system for key
SolarWinds MSP solutions.
The new SSO approach adds greater
consistency and security to the SolarWinds MSP array of managed
services. It better integrates login and two-factor-authentication
(2FA), adding to existing user management options. This key development
establishes the groundwork for future enhancements that improve the user
experience across the SolarWinds MSP platform, while underpinning the
commitment to enhanced security for SolarWinds MSP partners and their
customers. In addition to this, updated features offer increased
flexibility for security settings at the individual user level.
Altogether, these updates provide stronger high-level security for
day-to-day operations while improving convenience for users.
The current rollout applies to the following products: SolarWinds RMM, and integrated into the RMM dashboard, the SolarWinds MSP Manager and SolarWinds MSP Anywhere
products, and finally, SolarWinds Risk Intelligence. This functionality
is available for all these products on the SolarWinds RMM mobile apps
for Android and iOS operating systems.
"We
are pleased to announce that customers of SolarWinds MSP can have a
better, more integrated user experience while at the same time improving
the security of the products they depend upon, in turn improving the
security of those they serve," said Tim Brown, vice president of
security at SolarWinds MSP. "This demonstrates another step forward in
our commitment to stronger security and better usability across the
platform. Single-sign-on, together with two-factor authentication, helps
to alleviate misuse, provides stronger authentication, and furthers the
integration into one powerful and more secure platform."
