Sysdig Container Intelligence Platform Certified for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform

sysdig-redhat-certified

Sysdig, Inc., the container intelligence company, today announced Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform certification for the Sysdig Container Intelligence Platform, the first unified approach to container security, monitoring, and forensics. Certification and publication of Sysdig in the Red Hat Container Catalog, Red Hat's service for discovering, distributing, and consuming commercially-curated Linux container images, is a natural step in the relationship between Sysdig and Red Hat. With this certification, developers have the confidence of knowing the Sysdig Container Intelligence Platform is a member of the OpenShift ecosystem and has been tested with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, the industry's most comprehensive enterprise-grade Kubernetes container application platform.

"Containers can take friction out of software development. They're designed to be easily built, deployed, and updated without reliance on permanent infrastructure. However, these dynamic container environments bring challenges when deployed in production, especially with respect to monitoring, management, and security," said Apurva Dave, chief marketing officer, Sysdig. "By using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and Sysdig, users can automatically discover insight into how their containers and microservices are performing at the host, network, application, and even the process level."

On April 25, Sysdig will host a webinar detailing how to instrument, monitor, and secure OpenShift environments. Follow Sysdig on Twitter for more information.

Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform enables developers to quickly build, host, and scale applications in a cloud environment. Sysdig can automate the collection of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform application and service level-performance metrics, helping to accelerate the software development pace. The Sysdig ContainerVision agent, patented data collection technology running on each Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform host system, can provide request-level visibility inside containers. This approach to container intelligence is designed to unify monitoring, security, and troubleshooting instrumentation for containers and microservices. To give developers further insight into logical applications, the Sysdig ServiceVision agent enriches metrics and events with metadata from Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and Kubernetes, as well as clouds like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

"Developers at organizations are using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform for their cloud applications," said Julio Tapia, director, OpenShift Ecosystem, Red Hat. "We are happy to collaborate with Sysdig to offer these users more confidence and more choice for added container security and intelligence as they deploy container-based apps in production with OpenShift."
