Bromium,
Inc., the pioneer and leader in virtualization-based endpoint security
that stops advanced malware attacks via application isolation, today
announced that it has won four awards for security and innovation
excellence from the industry-leading publication, Cyber Defense Magazine.
These prestigious awards recognize next-generation information security
leaders and security IT vendors with advanced, ground-breaking products
and solutions that are helping set the bar higher in all areas of
security and technology.
The awards follow a successful year
for Bromium, which saw steady growth in both the public private sectors
and the company joining with HP Inc. to further protect customers from
web-based security threats with HP Sure Click. Bromium also announced a partnership with the Metropolitan Police to help the law enforcement agency further its cyber forensic capabilities. Additionally, Bromium commissioned the ground-breaking research Into the Web of Profit,
by Dr. Mike McGuire, Senior Lecturer in Criminology at University of
Surrey, which investigates how cybercriminals acquire, launder, spend
and reinvest their money. The research is due to be presented at RSA
Conference on April 20, 2018.
Cyber Defense Magazine,
the industry's leading electronic information security magazine, named
Bromium Secure Platform a winner of four InfoSec 2018 awards in the
following categories:
- Cutting Edge in the Anti-Phishing category
- Best Product in the Application Security category
- Hot Company in the Email Security Management category
- Editor's Choice in the Endpoint Security category
"As
the digital world becomes more hostile, enterprises and government
agencies need to adopt new approaches to defend themselves against the
onslaught of modern phishing, ransomware and endpoint attacks, something
traditional detection-based security cannot provide," commented Gregory
Webb, CEO at Bromium. "Bromium's application isolation using
virtualization provides unparalleled protection by isolating
applications and tasks, while also giving complete visibility into
modern cyberattacks, preventing breaches, and reducing incident
response. These award wins recognize the effectiveness of our approach
in protecting the enterprise and reflect a great year for Bromium."
"With
cybercrime continuing to gain momentum, surpassing global drug crime
last year and reaching over $600B in theft and damages, we are proud to
recognize Bromium as an award-winning innovator, offering a new approach
to defeat these cybercriminals," said Pierlugi Paganini,
Editor-in-Chief, Cyber Defense Magazine.
